Know which parts still need an answer.

A completed document can still leave the next owner stuck. Flamekeeper reviews the captured knowledge for useful detail and missing context, so you can spend your review time on the unresolved parts.

In practice

Use the feedback to decide what to ask next.

A quality signal

See the handover score alongside the underlying gaps. Use it to focus your attention, then read the material that matters.

Specific missing context

Look for unclear ownership, thin explanations, and missing practical details. Turn a broad concern into a question someone can answer.

A human review

Bring colleagues into document review and resolve outstanding work. A polished AI draft still needs someone who knows the process.

01Understand the score

Read the coverage behind the number.

The handover score assesses the captured knowledge inventory using the manager, employee, and colleague perspectives. It considers whether those perspectives are present, how specific their information is, whether they cover the important parts of the role, and where their accounts support each other.

Read the summary to decide whose input or which explanation to request next. A detailed employee account can still leave questions about the work colleagues depend on. The score helps direct that conversation; it does not certify the final documents or prove that someone can operate a system from the instructions.

What the inventory review considers

Participation
Are all three perspectives represented?
Specificity
Do the answers name the work and its context?
Role coverage
Are the important responsibilities included?
Agreement
Do contributors corroborate the same work?

Use the written assessment to choose the next follow-up.

02Review & approval

Close the question in the document where it belongs.

When the inventory becomes a draft, reviewers need to check the actual content. Use document comments to identify an unclear instruction and request the missing detail. The contributor can refine the draft with additional context, while action items track work that needs doing beyond editing a sentence.

Approval is the point for a knowledgeable reviewer to judge whether the document is ready to hand over. Confirm the receiving owner can find the referenced material and understands the remaining responsibilities. Keep any unresolved action visible, then export the approved content into the team's usual documentation workflow.

Questions & answers

A few things worth knowing.

Have a question about your team?
Talk to us

Does a high score guarantee a safe handover?

No. The score reflects the information available to the review. It cannot prove that an instruction is correct or that a linked system is accessible.

Is the score an employee performance rating?

No. It helps assess the handover material. It should not be used to rank employees or make employment decisions.

Can AI find knowledge nobody has mentioned?

It can suggest likely gaps from the context provided. It cannot recover facts that contributors have not shared; follow-up with the people involved is still essential.
