The case gives Flamekeeper the context for role-specific knowledge capture and handover review. Describe the real work and the transition you are planning.
Choose a setup method
- Open Cases and select New case (or Create a case in the empty workspace).
- Enter Employee name and choose Continue.
- Choose Talk to the assistant for guided voice setup, or Fill in manually for the form.
- If you used voice, review and edit the prefilled fields before submitting.
About the person
Enter the employee's Job title, choose the closest Role type, and optionally add Department and Seniority. A role profile helps make the prompts relevant; the responsibilities you provide explain how that role works in your organization.
About the case
Set the Last working day and Case type. Available types include resignation, termination, internal transfer, parental leave, long leave, reorg, and other.
Add the handover goal, urgency, time available, and whether a replacement is known. For temporary coverage, describe what must keep running during the absence. For replacement onboarding, describe the responsibilities the successor will inherit.
Additional context
Add key responsibilities, tools, stakeholders, current projects, and existing document links. In list fields, put each item on a separate line.
For an engineering role, useful context might include service ownership, deployment responsibilities, on-call routines, and open migrations. For a customer success role, include account ownership, renewal work, and outstanding commitments. Avoid including sensitive details that the handover does not need.
After creation
Open Overview to check the details. Use Edit case details when available if the scope or timeline changes. Then collect knowledge from the people who can explain the work.
If no case credits remain, use Buy more credits or ask the person responsible for billing.
