Handover documentation should let the successor act without guessing. Use the captured knowledge to prepare drafts, then check the details with the people who understand the work.
Prepare documents
Open Case actions and select Prepare documents. When preparation finishes, open Documents and select a document card. The document list has All, Draft, In review, and Approved filters.
Read the draft before sharing it. Check names, responsibilities, links, deadlines, current status, and ownership. Use Document chat to add details and fill gaps, then inspect the resulting document again.
Request a human review
Inside the document, select Send for review, choose case members, and select Request review. If the person you need is not available, check the case's Users tab and whether they are already a reviewer.
Reviewers can set their review to Approve, Request changes, or Comment only. Use feedback to correct the document before relying on it for the transition. A document's review state is separate from the case's overall completion status.
Export an individual document
Use Export in the document header and select Export as PDF, Export as Word (.docx), or Export as Markdown.
PDF works well for a readable snapshot, Word for further editing, and Markdown for a text-based documentation workflow. Check the downloaded file before distributing it.
Export the handover pack
In the case's Documents tab, select Export handover pack and choose the format. The choices export all documents, so review the full set before sharing; do not assume the current status filter limits the export.
Store the pack in an approved location and check that the successor can open linked resources. An export is a snapshot: if you change the case documents later, export an updated copy. See complete a handover for final checks.
